MARY A. WILLETT RIDGEWAY: Burial 8/11/1889. Age 88.  

Per 1880 Census taken in Spaldings, Prince Georges, Maryland:
Willett RIDGEWAY, age 66 (born 1814/not 1801) was Head of Household and a Farmhand.  
Mary A. RIDGEWAY, his wife, age 64 (born 1814 MD) was "Keeping House"  Their parents, were all born in Maryland.  
John RIDGEWAY, their son, age 30 (born 1850 MD) resided with them as a Farm Hand also.  

Note: From a Ridgeway descendant regarding Mary A. Willet Ridgeway:   "I went over to St. Barnabas - the only headstone I could find in the whole row of Ridgeways was Mary A. - the headstone is very faded, but I made it out to be Mary A.,  Wife of Willett Ridgeway."  Willett Ridgeway (full name was George Washington Willett Ridgeway) and Mary Ann Weaver were married in 1835 in Washington DC and became the parents of George Washington Ridgeway (born 1850? Died January 15, 1938?; married Henrietta Anderson?).

Catherine MASTERS,  76 year old mother of Nathan was "Keeping House". 
John W. MASTERS,  21 year old son was a farmhand. 
Thos. J. MASTERS,  18 year old son was a farmhand. 
Edward M. MASTERS, 13 year old son was a farmhand. 
Clara E. MASTERS, 7 year old daughter. 
Rosana MASTERS, 40 year old sister of Nathan was "At Home"  
Julia JONES, an  80 year old cousin was born in 1800.

George [M.] RIDGEWAY,  28 year old Head of Household was a Farm Hand (1852).
Henrietta RIDGEWAY, his wife was 25 and kept house (1855).
Elizabeth RIDGEWAY, daughter was 11 (1869).
   This is not Elizabeth Ridgeway Nagle.
Wm. RIDGEWAY, son was 6 (1874).  Is this William W. Ridgeway?  
Henry RIDGEWAY, son was 5 (1875)
George W. RIDGEWAY,  son was 2 (1878)
Margaret Geneva RIDGEWAY is "Eva" Ridgeway
, Daughter age 4 (
26 Mar 1876 in Prince George's County, MD) 
      Note:  Margaret Geneva Ridgeway married Richard Oliver "Ollie" DeVaughn.  Both Eva and Ollie are buried at St. Barnabas. 
It is believed that Eva died in February of 1980 in Prince George's County, MD   

An Eva and Ollie are listed in the Prince George's County 1910 Census for District 65, Spaulding, taken on May 3, 1910 as:

Ollie is an iron worker, born in Maryland to Maryland-born parents.  He is 39 years of age and he and Eva have been married 15 years.  She has been pregnant 7 times of which 5 children are still living.  Eva works in a grocery store as a retail worker.  They live next door to a William (a carpenter) and Goldie DeVaughn and their children, Annie, David, and Beatrice.

BERNICE L. RIDGEWAY,   Burial 1903.   Age 1.  Site 13
JESSE L. RIDGEWAY,  Burial 5/30/1905.   Age 4 Days.  Site 29
        Also buried here is the "Child of Robert & Nellie Cox Dement".
        Burial 12/20/1907  Age 1 Day.

According to the 1880 Census, the Masters family lived just eight houses from George T. Cator who may be related to our Cator family:

George T. CATOR, a 45 year old farm hand is listed solely on the census for Cator household. (Estimate: Born 1835)

      Also buried here is the "Child of William Owens". Burial 12/18/1891

John Thomas RIDGEWAY "Other"  32 year old farmhand (born @ 1848).  Could this be John T. Ridgeway at Range 7. Site 2?

22 BABY CASKETS were re-entered on 19 June 1991 from SOPER family cemetery located in Silver Hill, MD.  All 22 graves were unmarked.
