T. PRATT CATOR was born around 1844, and died March 22, 1872 in (at age 28).   He married Lydia A. ____________   (HAMMETT??). 

Note:  She remarried after Pratt died; became wife of Dr. James E. Sears and then she became his widow also.  Therefore, L.A. Cator/Sears died after July 25, 1904.

Burial: 1872, Trinity Episcopal Church Cemeteries, 14515 Church St., Upper Marlboro, PG, MD.
Occupation: September 15, 1871, Justice of the Peace, 3rd District
Will:
April 03, 1873, Probate File #0905 Maryland State Archives.

Washington Post Obituary JULY 26, 1904:   

Lydia A. Sears is listed in the following Census for 1880 in MD:
James is working at an apothecary and Lydia keeps house.  Living with them are the parents of James, William age 81 and Sarah age 76.  William is a farmer.

Lydia A. Sears is listed in the following Census for 1900 in MD:
Dr. James E. Sears and Lydia A. Cator, widow of Pratt Cator,  married by 1900. They had been married at age 26 and were now 55 years of age.  Lydia is listed as having one child (Carrie) who is no longer alive. Both James and Lydia were born in MD to MD born parents.  James is a title examiner in 1900. 


 



Child of  T. PRATT & L. A. HAMMETT CATOR  is:  CARRIE CATOR, born July 31, 1869; died September 20, 1870 (died young).  Burial:  1870, Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery, 14515 Church St., Upper Marlboro, Prince George's County, Maryland.
