Eleven years after their marriage they had a son, Richard T. Cator (III), who born on November 24, 1926 in the District of Columbia.

1952 Obituary for Carrie W. Cator:

1971 Obituary for Richard Thomas Cator:This obit from the Washington Post has an error in that it lists Jr. as Sr.  This may well be because the generation number1 in this lineage has passed on, and Richard Jr has assumed Sr. status over Richard III who is now referred to as a Jr instead of the III.
